Urgent emergency session of the Federal Parliament requested due to the reserve composition of the RS MUP

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - MP of the Citizens' Alliance Nihad Čolpa submitted an initiative to the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, requesting that this house convene an emergency session on the security situation, related to the announcement of the RS Government that it will establish a reserve police composition.

“The sole intention of the RS Government is for the reserve composition to be the RS infantry. That police committed war crimes and genocide, and now it is forming a reserve composition,” said Čolpa, adding that there has been no reaction from any relevant institution in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

At its last session, the RS Government adopted the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Police and Internal Affairs, which creates conditions for establishing a reserve police composition.

The announcement of the formation of the reserve composition of the RS MUP comes after weapons for the police in the BiH entity of RS have already been procured.

From the Citizens' Party, they explain that the RS entity, by procuring weapons for the police and forming a reserve composition, is creating a military formation from the police, thus changing the balance of weapons in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is a direct violation of Annex 1 of the Dayton Peace Agreement.
