Detention requested for Josip Šimić Đinđić

The Sarajevo Cantonal Prosecutor's Office proposed a one-month detention for Josip Šimić Đinđić, who was arrested on Tuesday.

- He is suspected of forging documents and misrepresentation. Detention has been proposed due to the risk of influencing witnesses, concealing evidence, and the risk of re-offending - Azra Bavčić, spokesperson for the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton, told the Patria agency.

We remind you that the Sarajevo Cantonal Prosecutor's Office opened an investigation against Šimić on September 1st because there is a well-founded suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of "forgery of a document" under Article 373 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of BiH.

The subject of this Prosecutor's Office's investigation is only the disputed SIPA document that was submitted to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.
