SARAJevo, (Patria) - The acting prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton proposed to the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo to order one-month detention for a Moroccan citizen with initials A.K. for the criminal offense of murder. The murder occurred on Monday evening in the Ilidža area, and it was a conflict among migrants.
Sarajevo police arrested two individuals, one of whom, a Moroccan citizen, was detained, while the other migrant was released and has witness status.
"Detention has been proposed due to the suspect's risk of flight. Therefore, after a mutual conflict, the suspect inflicted a fatal stab wound to the victim's chest area," said Azra Bavčić, spokesperson for the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office.
The murdered migrant was also Moroccan.
