One-month detention requested for Zukić and Fazlagić

The Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton has submitted a motion to the Municipal Court for the detention of SDA Secretary General Amir Zukić and his driver Seid Fazlagić, who were arrested on Friday, 17 February, confirmed for Patria agency Azra Bavčić, spokesperson for the Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton.

Detention for Zukić was proposed due to the risk of influencing witnesses, concealing evidence, and the risk of repeating the criminal offense, and for Seid Fazlagić due to the risk of flight and repeating the criminal offense.

Both Zukić and Fazlagić were arrested in the continuation of the Bosna operation, when Esed Džananović, director of distribution at Elektroprivreda BiH, Safet Bibić, Ramiz Karavdić, Nedžad and Senad Trako were also arrested.

The Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton charges five suspects with organizing a group and, using their influence, employing individuals in public companies, health and higher education institutions in the Federation of BiH by demanding and receiving money or other forms of benefit.

From the very beginning, three prominent names from the top of the Party of Democratic Action were linked to these arrests: Amir Zukić, Asim Sarajlić, and Mirsad Kukić.

As Patria agency learns, Džananović employed individuals in Elektrodistribucija on the orders of Amir Zukić. The investigation was extended to Zukić himself, resulting in his arrest.
