DF MP Dževad Adžem Justified Citizens' Trust in the FBiH Parliament

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - DF MP in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dževad Adžem, in his first term, according to all indicators, has justified the trust placed in him by the citizens who elected him as their representative.

Surveys by non-governmental organizations show that he is one of the most active MPs in the FBiH Parliament. In the first year of the House of Representatives' sessions, Adžem initiated measures in the area of protecting the rights of demobilized veterans, as well as an initiative to establish retraining centers, which would help 130,000 citizens currently unemployed without any qualifications to become competitive in the labor market.

Given that he comes from BPK, Adžem consistently drew attention to the difficult situation in this canton. In 2016, he warned the Parliament about the dire situation in BPK, its fiscal unsustainability without adequate support from the Federal Government, and through initiatives, he fought for an amendment to the Transport Strategy, which designated the highway to Goražde as one of the most important projects for connecting BPK with Sarajevo. Through his initiatives and pressure on the FBiH Government, this road connection was included in the PJI, making this infrastructure project the most important for the BPK region. Adžem attended all sessions of the Federal Parliament.

On the portal Javnarasprava.ba, he was rated as one of the most responsible MPs due to the "fact that he publicly and concretely answered all citizens' questions." Following the discussions by Dževad Adžem, Elvira Karajbić, and Faruk Ćupina, the reports on work and the report on the implementation of the Federal Government's budget were rejected.

According to official data, in 2017, Adžem, alongside SDP MP Elvir Karajbić, was the MP with the most discussions in the House of Representatives. He was also active in 2018, despite the FBiH Parliament having a small number of sessions.

Adžem was also involved in the area of veteran-disability protection and resolving issues for demobilized veterans, as well as in the adoption of the Law on In Vitro Fertilization.

Statistically speaking, at the end of his four-year term, Dževad Adžem is the most active parliamentarian of the DF Caucus, with 95 activities, and his parliamentary work exceeded that of six representatives from the BPK in the FBiH Parliament combined.
