(Patria) - The House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH rejected, for the agenda of today's regular session, two legal proposals that would allow for salary increases for workers up to 400 KM, and whose proposers are the heads of the clubs of the People's European Alliance (NES) Irfan Durić and the Party for BiH Admir Čavalić.
These are the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Contributions and the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Income Tax.
Čavalić reminded on his Facebook profile that at the beginning of January they prepared amendments to these laws that would allow for salary increases for workers up to 400 KM (with 11% for PIO). This, as he stated, would mean a lot to our workers.
"Someone with a net salary of 1,200 KM would have 1,600 KM, etc. This would only be a temporary law until the key amendments to those two laws are adopted," Čavalić points out.
He points out that these proposals had not reached the agenda of the House of Representatives of the Federal Parliament until today's session. That is why they tested the readiness of the ruling majority for these laws today.
"I asked for a separate vote on this - unfortunately, the majority of representatives rejected it. The recording exists of who voted how.
Why is this a missed opportunity? Well, first of all, because we will not adopt reform fiscal laws this year to reduce contributions. This means that the implementation of any legal solutions from next year will only be in 2025.
Two years eaten by locusts (plus seven more before). That's why yesterday there was a huge queue in front of the German Embassy. No excuses. Only frogs will be swallowed in our country.
We continue the fight for our economy, workers, employers - an update will follow soon. No giving up," Čavalić stated.
