Deputies Adopted the Resolution on the Public Interest of BHRT

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Deputies in the House of Representatives of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted the Resolution on the Public Interest of the Public Radio-Television Service of BiH - BHRT, proposed by deputies Sanela Prašović Gadžo (SBB) and Irfan Čengić (SDP).

The aforementioned Resolution instructs the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH, through guidelines for work and procedure, and in relation to the issues of this Resolution, to enable the unimpeded operation and access to transaction accounts of the Radio-Television of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as this is in the public interest of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, until the final resolution of the dispute with the Radio-Television of Republika Srpska, which collects the fee in Republika Srpska and the Brčko District of BiH and has not paid the fee to BHRT since 2017 in accordance with the law, and until the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina ensures the consistent application of the Law on the Public Radio-Television Service of BHRT.

The Council of Ministers of BiH and the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH are requested to ensure the consistent application of the Law on the Public Radio-Television Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina BHRT, as well as the OHR and the international community to fulfill their obligations from the General Framework Agreement for Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the part relating to the content of this Resolution, and to ensure support programs for the development of the public Radio-Television Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina - BHRT.

The conclusion of Adis Araspović was also supported, which reads:

"All federal institutions and administrative bodies are obliged, through the implementation of necessary activities to assist and resolve problems in BHRT, not to jeopardize the business operations and current financial stability of RTV FBiH."
