(Patria) - The SDP BiH Caucus in the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina held an emergency session on the initiative to dismiss BiH Security Minister Nenad Nešić.
The SDP BiH Caucus in the Parliament of BiH believes that in developed democracies, in the circumstances in which Minister Nešić finds himself, the logical course of events is resignation as a personal act.
"If that does not happen, the SDP BiH Caucus will support the initiative to dismiss the security minister, without assuming the role of the judiciary. The SDP BiH Caucus authorizes the caucus chair Saša Magazinović to sign, on behalf of the caucus, the request for the dismissal of the security minister initiated by deputies of the PDP, SDS, and For Justice and Order," the caucus conclusions state.
The SDP reminds the public that the SDP BiH Caucus voted for the dismissal of Minister Nešić in July last year as well, when Nešić publicly insulted the victims of the Srebrenica genocide. That initiative, among others, was not supported by deputies of the PDP and SDS.
"The SDP BiH Caucus rejects attempts to impose a practice whereby local levels of government (entity and cantonal) take it upon themselves to regulate relations and interfere in the decision-making of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH and other state institutions, both in this and in all other cases of decision-making," the statement of the SDP BiH Caucus reads.
