SDA MPs: The Trojka provided a lifeline to Dodik

(Patria) - The Club of Deputies of the Party of Democratic Action held a press conference today ahead of an emergency session of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"We expected to discuss priorities on the path to the European Union. Unfortunately, today we will discuss conclusions from a lower level of government, namely the National Assembly of Republika Srpska. SNSD is problematizing the technical amendments to the Election Law of BiH imposed by the OHR, which enable the holding of elections according to international standards.

The proposal for the Election Law drafted by SDA passed in the House of Representatives; everything stalled in the House of Peoples.
Now the parliamentary majority announces their election law. The government had three months to do something about this issue, and now they announce they will do it in seven days. The Trojka provided a lifeline to Milorad Dodik by rushing to a meeting with him. SNSD representatives in both houses rejected 12 laws last year, and they did not concern the transfer of competencies. Instead of having the laws necessary for BiH's European path today, tensions will be created. SDA insists that the pro-Bosnian bloc have a unified stance. If messages are sent that Bosniaks should be confined to 25 percent of the territory, that genocide is being denied, these are alarms," said Šerif Špago, head of the SDA Club of Deputies.

Deputy Amor Mašović commented on the Resolution on Srebrenica, which is expected to be adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in early May.

"Today's Serbia, instead of distancing itself from war criminals, continues to deny genocide and its responsibility for not preventing the crime. Serbia and the smaller BiH entity should not worry about the resolution. The regime in Serbia and the authorities in Banja Luka should worry more about the more than 100 mass graves in the RS. Dodik is right about something, though. The Srebrenica story and the resolution were initiated by SDA. However, all credit for the resolution being presented at the UN goes to Dodik. If he continues like this, he will reach a point where no one in Banja Luka will find it funny," said Mašović.

Edin Ramić recalled what Serbia did 14 years ago.

"The Serbian Assembly adopted a Resolution on Genocide in 2010. Today, the NSRs [National Assembly of Republika Srpska] wants to reject the report on Srebrenica, which was compiled back in 2004. The genocidal intent is to be maintained, and that is why we must fight against genocide deniers.
The Trojka wants to absolve themselves of the positions of the BiH Presidency Chairman Denis Bećirović and BiH Ambassador to the UN Zlatko Lagumdžija," stated Ramić.

Safet Kešo commented on yesterday's meeting between the Trojka, HDZ, and SNSD.

"Nermin Nikšić should not be the one repeating Dodik's words. The intention of RS to undermine the constitutional and legal order of BiH is clear. Agreeing to talks at such a stage, and derogating the Election Law enacted by the OHR, is a strategic mistake," warned Kešo.
