Deputies take oath, Assembly of Sarajevo Canton constituted

Thirty-five newly elected deputies, who will sit in the seats of the Assembly of Sarajevo Canton for the next four years, officially received their mandate and took the oath today, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Of the 35 deputies, 7 are women. In the statement read and signed by the deputies, it is stated that they will "perform the entrusted duty conscientiously, adhere to the Constitution and laws of BiH, FBiH and KS, advocate for human rights and freedoms, and that in all circumstances they will protect the interests of BiH, FBiH and KS and the equality of the peoples and citizens living in them."

After the constitutive session, the election of candidates from Sarajevo Canton to the House of Peoples of FBiH follows, which, in accordance with the law, should be completed by December 10. The deadline for submitting the statement on assets is also December 10.

The parliamentary majority is still unknown, and party negotiations are ongoing.
