
(Patria) - The House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly did not adopt the Bill on the Budget of BiH Institutions and BiH's International Obligations for 2025 in the second reading.
The necessary entity majority was not achieved. The outcome of the vote in both the first and second rounds was identical. Of the total of 35 representatives present, 22 voted in favor, 10 voted against, and three abstained.
From the Federation of BiH, out of 24 representatives, 21 gave their support to the budget, while three abstained.
When it comes to the entity of Republika Srpska, out of 11 who voted, 10 were against, while only one representative supported the budget.
Earlier today, the House of Representatives supported the principles of the proposed budget, after which the representatives had several hours to submit amendments.
The Finance and Budget Committee then adopted three amendments, which became an integral part of the proposed budget, namely amendments by Rejhana Dervišević, Aida Baručija, Šemsudin Dedić, and Nermin Mandra.
SNSD also had its five amendments, which, however, did not receive the necessary support from the representatives.
During the debate, SNSD representatives stated that if their amendments received support, they would support the budget as well. Otherwise, they would not – which is what ultimately happened.
