Why has RS been undermining the work of the Coordination Body since the beginning of the floods?

At the last session of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a conclusion was adopted expressing dissatisfaction with the work of the Coordination Body of Bosnia and Herzegovina for protection and rescue from natural or other disasters in BiH, and they requested a report on the work of this body for tomorrow's session. However, as the Patria news agency learns, this report will not be ready, because the session of this body could not be held even today, as members from the Republika Srpska were unable to attend the session.

This information was confirmed to us by Mladen Ćavar, Deputy Minister of Security of BiH and Chairman of this body, but he said that he will again submit a report and document everything, including whom he called, who was present, etc.

- They also have transcripts of those meetings, so let them check. The Coordination Body has 21 members, nine from the Council of Ministers, five members each from the entities, and two from the Brčko District. A session cannot be held without a majority from the entities or the Council of Ministers – says Ćavar.

Incidentally, due to the non-attendance of members from the smaller BiH entity, this body has met only once, while a session was scheduled six times.

- Colleagues from the RS did not come, whether justified or not, they did not come. And we could not hold a session without a majority present – says Ćavar, adding that this is how the Ministry of Security took over the entire job.

- The Ministry of Security took upon itself the reduced capacity of the Coordination Body. We took everything upon ourselves and, according to assessments, we did an excellent job, so the lack of work or work at reduced capacity did not have any impact at all – added Ćavar.
