Why are Osmančević and Jakić tearing apart 'Homeland'?

In the coalition „Homeland“ it is turbulent again. Today, the Vice President of the Party for BiH, Dževad Osmančević, said that there is no longer a place for SDA in „Homeland“ because that party, in his words, violated the agreement which regulated in a completely different manner the issues related to the selection and nomination of coalition representatives in the RS Council of Peoples, reports the Patria news agency.

SDA did this by forming the Bosniak Club in the Council of Peoples and electing Kema Čamdžija from SDA as Deputy Chairperson, even though that position belonged to a completely different party, Osmančević said.

Delegate of HSP BiH in the RS Council of Peoples, Željko Stipić, told reporters that it is not excluded that HSP will make a decision to withdraw from the coalition because SDA “turned its back” only on its own program, and not on the structure of the other political parties in this coalition – Party for BiH, SBB and HSP BiH.

He said that HSP will most likely make a decision to withdraw its deputy Ivana Lovrić from the coalition, so that she would act independently in the RS National Assembly in the coming period.

As a reminder, Patria announced this scenario a month ago, when, under the baton of Vinko Jakić, a member of the HSP Presidency, representatives of the parties that make up „Homeland“ gathered in Sarajevo, without inviting either the Democratic Front or SDA.

At that time, Sadik Ahmetović, the coalition coordinator, told Patria that he was not even aware of that meeting.

Even then, the intentions were clear, both of Vinko Jakić, who did not pass on the lists in the Federation of BiH, and of Osmančević, otherwise a close friend of Nebojša Radmanović, to continue working on breaking up „Homeland“. Although there were several candidates of the Party for BiH on the lists for the RS National Assembly who achieved enviable results, from the „background“ Osmančević, who did not even participate in the elections, was proposed as a delegate, which caused dissatisfaction on the ground.

The announcement that HSP deputy Lovrić will become an independent in the RS National Assembly is only a logical sequence because Jakić, through her, who will already at the next session of the RS National Assembly become part of the parliamentary majority led by Milorad Dodik, will try to lobby for any position for himself in the RS Government or some of the local institutions.

The Chairperson of the Bosniak Club in the RS Council of Peoples, Mujo Hadžiomerović, told reporters that this club was constituted today and that he was elected as the club's chief.

Hadžiomerović said that in the Club they acted as delegates and in accordance with the Rules of Procedure, and not in accordance with the previously signed agreements in the “Homeland” coalition.

- With six votes in the Club, we proposed Kema Čamdžija for Deputy Chairperson of the Council, who was supported by all eight delegates from the Bosniak Club - Hadžiomerović explained.
