Why Dino Konaković should be the Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton

At tomorrow's session of the SDA Collegium, the name of the mandate holder for the formation of the new Government of Sarajevo Canton should be considered, and then the Presidency will make a final decision on the candidate, writes the Patria News Agency.

So far, the names of Huse Ćesir, a businessman from Novi Grad who refused the offer, have been discussed. Also, Adem Zolj, director of the Public Utility Roads of Sarajevo Canton, was interviewed, but he was not very willing to accept this heated position either.

Finally, Jasmin Bučo, one of the executive directors at JP Autoceste FBiH, remained in the running, and suddenly a large number of members of the municipal and cantonal boards of SDA Sarajevo proposed Elvedin Dino Konaković, head of the SDA caucus in the KS Assembly.

Ćesir, who did not accept the offer, as confirmed by sources from the KO SDA Sarajevo, proposed Bakir Karahasanović, former director of Sarajevo International Airport.

However, the majority of the membership believes that Konaković would be the best solution. He is an experienced SDA representative who has shown in these elections that a large number of people trust him. Although he was at a very low position on the list of candidates for representatives in terms of the number of votes, he almost caught up with the list leader.

In addition, his experience in the legislative authority, as well as his knowledge of the functioning of the Government of Sarajevo Canton, give him an advantage over other candidates. Because in the event that he is elected as the mandate holder, time would not be wasted on familiarizing a new prime minister and learning, but he could immediately get to work.

There is no time left anyway, it has been wasted and citizens are at the limit of their patience. Therefore, the best solution would be to appoint someone who has been in the cantonal machinery for a long time as the mandate holder. The question is, of course, whether Konaković will accept this hot potato.
