Protect water meters due to low temperatures

Due to regular maintenance and testing of transformer stations at the "Bačevo" source, on Sunday, February 25, 2018, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, water supply in most parts of the city will be under reduced pressure, meaning that certain parts of the city, depending on the terrain elevation, will be without water.

Neighborhoods where water supply disruptions will occur are: Mojmilo, Dobrinja, Saraj polje, settlements from Čengić Vila to Baščaršija, Buća Potok, Briješće, Vitkovac, Zabrđe, Rajlovac, Riječica, Reljevo, Sokolje, Boljakov Potok, Velešići, Pofalići, Hum brdo, Koševsko brdo, Ciglane, Bare – Šip, Kobilja Glava, Hrasno, Hrasno brdo, Trg Heroja, Švrakino selo, Grbavica, Soukbunar, Cicin Han, Kovačići, Patriotske lige, Koševo, Alipašina, Hotonj, Ugorsko, Dreskovača, Nova industrijska zona Vogošća, Barice, Orahov brijeg, Breka, Kromolj, Podhrastovi, Bjelave, Grdonj and Sedrenik.

Completion of works and full normalization of water supply is expected by 8:00 PM.

Also, we appeal to consumers that due to the forecast of low temperatures, special attention should be paid to protecting water supply points and installations from freezing. Low temperatures and poor protection of water supply points and shafts lead to cracking of water meter glass and often damage to the entire water meter.

It is necessary to protect the water meter point with thermal insulation materials such as: styrofoam, glass wool, old blankets, fabric, etc.

Therefore, we warn citizens and building managers to take timely protective measures to avoid freezing and further damage that may result from freezing.
