The lily flag does not symbolize only one nation

(Patria) - The Institute for Research of Genocide Canada issued a reaction regarding the apprehension by the MUP of the BiH entity RS of three Bosniaks from Kotor-Varoš for carrying flags with lilies during the Peace March.

"This is a dangerous, inhumane, dehumanizing provocation of hatred that has no legal basis.

The flag with lilies was the flag of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This is not and cannot be disputed at all, but the anti-civilizational apprehension of returnees with the aim of producing fear is disputed.

The flag with lilies does not symbolize only one nation, but only one state, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is not a war flag, but it was the official flag of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an internationally recognized country that flew in front of the United Nations headquarters from 1992 to 1998. That flag of the medieval Kingdom of Bosnia is in the hearts of all Bosnian patriots and can only be a problem for those who dislike the existence of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

There was no civil war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but aggression and genocide. The real question is why do lilies, as a centuries-old symbol of Bosnian statehood, bother them, and precisely at this moment?

The criminalization of the flag with lilies and its placing in the context of rewriting historical facts about the centuries-old statehood of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the revision of judicial facts about aggression and genocide in Bosnia and Herzegovina is an integral part of the lobbying campaign of the anti-Bosnian coalition, which is strongly active in the homeland and diaspora.

The MUP of the BiH entity RS, which has been convicted of genocide by international courts, continues the anti-Bosnian mission of denying the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, denying judicial, scientific, and historical facts about aggression and genocide, and glorifying convicted war criminals in the name of equating victims and perpetrators.

You cannot erase the flag with lilies from the historical memory and tradition of Bosniaks and Bosnia and Herzegovina through any methods of pressure," said the Institute for Research of Genocide Canada.
