ZENICA, (Patria) - After the first case of novel coronavirus infection was confirmed in Zenica yesterday, testing of individuals who had been in contact with her, or who had traveled with her to Italy, showed that two more people are positive, while the result for a third person is negative.
"The infection was diagnosed in a 19-year-old female and a 26-year-old male. Since there are no clinical manifestations of the disease, the person for whom the novel coronavirus infection was not confirmed will remain in home isolation and under health supervision, while those confirmed to be infected with the virus will be sent to the isolation ward of the Cantonal Hospital Zenica, and further action will be decided later," stated the Crisis Staff of Zenica-Doboj Canton.
Given the epidemiological data, they emphasize that they expected such a development, meaning they expected these two individuals to also be positive.
"All three positive cases of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) can be considered imported cases, and it can be stated that there was no transmission of the disease within Bosnia and Herzegovina related to these cases," the Crisis Staff points out.
They note that all three individuals who are now positive for the novel coronavirus were not at any large gatherings, but were in isolation and under health supervision the entire time.
