Spraying begins tomorrow at 10 AM

The Federal Civil Protection Headquarters today sent a notice to the cantonal and municipal civil protection headquarters of Posavina and Tuzla cantons, detailing the process of aerial spraying, i.e., disinsection.

- In accordance with the act of the Public Health Institute of the Federation of BiH, number: S-01-02-01-2-848-9/14 dated 05.06.2014, the Federal Civil Protection Administration has been informed that on 06.06.2014, aerial spraying of adult mosquito forms will be carried out with four flights (2 in the morning / 2 in the evening) using two agricultural aircraft of the company Air tractor d.o.o. from Croatia, for which a permit has been obtained from the Directorate of Civil Aviation, under the Ministry of Communications and Transport. Aerial spraying will begin at 10 AM in the area of the municipalities of Odžak, Domaljevac-Šamac, and Orašje, and will be carried out with the preparation neropitoid premium, provided that meteorological conditions permit.

During the spraying, all persons, especially those with chronic respiratory diseases and breathing difficulties, food, as well as bees and all other domestic animals, should be kept away from the direct impact of the substance that will be sprayed by the aircraft. For this purpose, we recommend that all animals and food stored outdoors be moved before spraying, and during the spraying period, windows should be closed and people should stay indoors. All food, fruits, and vegetables that cannot be protected during spraying should be washed thoroughly before use to avoid any possible adverse effects of the mosquito adulticide treatment agents," reads the notice from the Federal Civil Protection Headquarters, signed by head Fahrudin Solak, which was also delivered to the Government of Brčko District of BiH, and the Republican Civil Protection Administration of RS, reports Patria.
