(Patria) - The Council of Employees of the National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina (NUB BiH) warned today in Sarajevo that the employees of that institution are suspending the provision of services to the public until further notice, starting today.
"Starting today, August 26, 2024, the employees of the National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina are suspending the provision of services to the public until further notice.
The reason for this decision is the lack of a concrete policy from the authorities to resolve our situation, due to which we no longer have the conditions for the functioning and operation of the institution," it was emphasized at the press conference.
The workers will continue to work on finding additional solutions to ensure stability and the continuation of all activities, and their demands remain the same, which is the appointment of a management structure and the defined and stable legal and financial status of the National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
