Sports and Animation Program for Preschool Children Launched

The Municipality of Centar Sarajevo allocated 28,000 KM for the Sports and Animation Program for preschool children. The program started on October 19, 2015, and will last until May 31, 2016, reports the Patria News Agency.

The program is implemented by the Public Institution "Center for Sport and Recreation", and is intended for preschool children aged 4 to 5.5 years. Classes are held in the FIS premises on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9:00 AM to 11:40 AM. It is planned that each child will exercise twice a week for 40 minutes.

The goal of the project is to involve preschool children from the Centar municipality in organized physical and health education classes, and through simple motor movements, various exercises, and games, to influence the child's health, intellectual, and emotional development.

- This type of sport means a lot for preschool children. Through such activities, children develop, strengthen their muscles, and learn new forms of movement. The little ones are delighted when they go to FIS and no one needs to be persuaded; everyone eagerly awaits to come. We have good cooperation with our coaches and are very grateful to the Municipality of Centar for organizing such a project, stated Ademira Milak, an educator from the kindergarten "Šareni voz".

Transportation is organized within the Sports and Animation Program, and the sessions are free for all participants. Kindergartens participating in this program are "Višnjik", "Leptirić", "Lane", "Vrapčić", "Skenderija", "Makovi", "Iskrica", "Šareni voz", and "Slavuj", it was announced from the Municipality of Centar.
