A group of hikers climbed Visočica mountain, near Konjic, over the weekend, and provided stunning photos of this mountain beauty to the Patria newsroom.
Hikers from the mountaineering and alpinism club Pak Summit from Banja Luka, together with friends from the Sarajevo mountaineering club Bjelašnica, climbed the Subar peak, which is located at 1820 meters above sea level.
Visočica mountain is a natural border between Herzegovina and Bosnia, about 50 kilometers from Sarajevo.
Every year, Visočica is a more visited mountain, as it offers numerous opportunities throughout the year, from hiking and skiing to mountain biking. On one side it is covered with pastures and on the other with dense pine forest.
From the east, from Treskavica, it is separated by the Ljuta river, from the south and southwest, from Prenj, by the Neretva river, and from the west and north, from Bjelašnica, by the Rakitnica river canyon. Its rich and vast pastures, abundant forests, and picturesque canyons are its greatest adornments during the summer, and the white snowy peaks leave hikers breathless during the winter, writes NAP.
