
(Patria) - At the invitation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the North Atlantic Council (NAC), led by NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoană, will visit Sarajevo on February 1 and 2, 2024.
On the first day of the visit, February 1, 2024, the Deputy Secretary General and ambassadors of NATO member countries will meet with the Presidency of BiH. A meeting with the Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of BiH Borjana Krišto and members of the Council of Ministers of BiH will be held in the afternoon. The Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of BiH and the NATO Deputy Secretary General will address the media after the meeting. On the same day, the Collegium of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH will meet with the NAC.
On the second day of the visit, February 2, 2024, the NATO Deputy Secretary General and ambassadors of NATO member countries will talk with representatives of non-governmental organizations, and with university students from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In the afternoon, the Deputy Secretary General and the NAC will, during a visit to the Rajlovac military base, discuss practical aspects of cooperation between BiH and NATO.
The NATO Deputy Secretary General and ambassadors will also meet with the Commander of NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo Brigadier General Pamela McGaha, the incoming Commander of EU forces in BiH (EUFOR) Major General László Sticz, the High Representative for BiH Christian Schmidt, and representatives of the international community in BiH.
