SARAJEVO, (Patria) - "The majority of members of the Armed Forces of BiH of Serbian nationality are ready to transfer to the Army of Republika Srpska, if it were to be re-established", stated Deputy Minister of Defence Mirko Okolić, thus siding with Presidency member Milorad Dodik.
Namely, Dodik earlier stated that 80 percent of members of Serbian nationality would transfer to the ranks of the RS Armed Forces if they were to be formed.
"Dodik has the correct data and percentage, because he has something stronger than a survey. This was arrived at because members of the Armed Forces from the Serbian people came to their superiors and commanders, and all said that if it comes to that, they can count on them," says Okolić, adding that relations in the Armed Forces are damaged, especially after Minister of Defence Sifet Podžić, without the consent of the BiH Presidency, postponed an exercise with the Serbian Army at Manjača.
Okolić says that relations are damaged and that this is evident from conversations with members of the Armed Forces.
