Labour Law in procedure since 2012, Union has not proposed a single amendment in three years

The Labour Law, which the federal authorities must adopt as soon as possible if they want to implement economic reforms, has divided the public in the Federation of BiH, writes the news agency Patria.

If the law is adopted in the form that should be before the House of Peoples of the FBiH on Thursday, unionists claim that workers will lose even the few rights they had, while the political parties pushing the Law claim that the new Labour Law brings new jobs and prosperity to the country.

Lidija Bradara, Chairwoman of the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH, criticized today the representatives of the Union of Independent Trade Unions of BiH, noting that the Labour Law has been in procedure since 2012, when it was adopted as a Draft in March of the same year, but that from then until today, not a single amendment to that law has been submitted.

The Union of Independent Trade Unions of BiH has announced protests for tomorrow in front of the FBiH parliament building, in order to block the adoption of the Law, reports NAP.
