Labour Law to be considered under urgent procedure in the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament today

The session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament is scheduled for Friday, July 31, starting at 2 PM, writes the BH News Agency Patria.

Representatives will today consider the Reform Agenda for BiH for the period 2015-2018 and the Labour Law (urgent procedure).

Among other things, representatives will discuss the Bill on Amendments to the Law on Contributions, Foreign Investments, and Citizen Claims in the Privatization Process.

We remind you that a session of the House of Peoples was held on Thursday, where the Labour Law was adopted with 28 votes in favour and three against. Representatives of the SDP, DF, SBB, and Our Party left the session.

Several thousand people also protested against the proposed Labour Law, and after the law was adopted, workers were called upon by the Union of Independent Trade Unions of BiH to disperse.

The Union of Independent Trade Unions of BiH (SSSBH) has abandoned the protests that were scheduled for tomorrow in front of the FBiH Parliament. A session of the Presidency of SSSBiH was held today, after which it was decided that the protests would not continue tomorrow.

Instead of a mass gathering of workers, as was the case today, trade union representatives will attend today's session of the FBiH House of Representatives, where they will present 26 amendments to the Labour Law adopted today to the representatives. If the law passes the parliamentary procedure, the Union states that it will organize a general strike in the FBiH.
