PIO Law fails to secure required majority in the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament

The proposed PIO law failed to secure the required majority in the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina today. 24 delegates voted against the proposed law, 17 voted in favor, and 9 abstained.

Delegates previously adopted, by a majority vote, two amendments submitted by the Croat Club. One of these amendments increases the point value for calculating pension amounts from 13.6 to 14.3 BAM. The other amendment postpones the implementation of this law by six months.

It was previously warned that the budget of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina can hardly sustain even a coefficient of 13.6 BAM, and certainly cannot sustain an additionally increased coefficient.

The Bosniak Club opposed this proposed law, Patria reports.
