
(Patria) - The House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PA BiH) is scheduled to hold two sessions today - the 14th extraordinary and the continuation of the 16th regular session.
Among other things, the Proposal of the Law on the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC) of BiH, the Proposal of the Law on the Court of BiH, and the Proposal of the Law on Amendments to the Election Law of BiH are to be considered.
Also on the agenda are proposals for decisions on the dismissal of SNSD officials - state ministers Staša Košarac and Srđan Amidžić, and the Speaker of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament, Nikola Špirić.
The 14th extraordinary session is scheduled for 10:00 AM, where the principles of the Proposal of the Law on the HJPC of BiH, proposed by the Council of Ministers of BiH, are to be considered.
This law, as stated by the Council of Ministers of BiH, is aimed at improving the rule of law in the country, ensuring the independence of the judiciary, and fulfilling a key priority in the EU accession process, including the adoption of the negotiation framework for BiH.
Furthermore, the request by delegate Marina Pendeš (HDZ) to consider the Proposal of the Law on the Court of BiH under an urgent procedure is to be discussed.
The proposed law regulates the continuity of the existence of the Court of BiH, the establishment of the Appellate Division of the Court of BiH as a second-instance body, jurisdiction, internal organization, public operation, financing, and other matters of significance for the organization and functioning of the Court of BiH and its Appellate Division.
According to the proposed law, the seat of the Court would be in Sarajevo, and the seat of the Appellate Division in Istočno Novo Sarajevo.
Delegates are also to consider delegate Pendeš's request to consider the Proposal of the Law on Amendments to the Election Law of BiH, concerning the election of members of the BiH Presidency and the Central Election Commission (CEC) of BiH, under an urgent procedure.
The House of Peoples is also to consider the House of Representatives' request to consider the Proposal of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Financing of BiH Institutions under an urgent procedure.
The continuation of the 16th regular session of the House of Peoples, with 53 items on the agenda, is scheduled for 12:00 PM.
Among the items is delegate Pendeš's request to consider the Proposal of the Law on Amendments to the Election Law of BiH under an urgent procedure, as well as the House of Representatives' request to consider the Proposal of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Financing of BiH Institutions under an urgent procedure.
Delegates are also to consider the principles of the Proposal of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Service in the Armed Forces of BiH, proposed by delegate Džemal Smajić, as well as the principles of the Proposal of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Financing of Political Parties, proposed by Zlatko Miletić.
The Proposal of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Administrative Fees, in the first reading, proposed by the Council of Ministers of BiH, is also to be on the agenda.
Among the proposed laws to be considered by the delegates is the Proposal of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Value Added Tax of BiH, proposed by Želimir Nešković.
The request of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH for the urgent procedure consideration of the Proposal of the Law on Amendments to the Election Law of BiH is also one of the agenda items.
The penultimate item is the Proposal of the Decision on the dismissal of the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, Staša Košarac, and the Minister of Finance and Treasury of BiH, Srđan Amidžić.
And the last item is the Proposal of the Decision on the dismissal of the Speaker/First Deputy Speaker/Second Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Nikola Špirić.
The proposers of the penultimate and last items are delegates Nenad Vuković, Želimir Nešković, Ilija Cvitanović, Zlatko Miletić, and Kemal Ademović.
