KS Assembly Session Scheduled for June 25

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Members of the Collegium of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly (SKS) agreed at today's session that the next 43rd regular working session of the SKS will be held on Monday, June 25th of this year, starting at 09:00 AM.

The agenda for this session has been harmonized, according to which the deputies, after deputies' questions and initiatives, will review information from the management of "Vodovod i kanalizacija" (Water Supply and Sewerage) with reports on the work of the Assembly and the company's Supervisory Board.

Also on the agenda will be the Proposal for Amendments and Additions to the Budget of Sarajevo Canton (KS) for this year, as well as draft laws on the supplement to the Law on Execution of the KS Budget for 2018, on amendments and additions to the Law on Municipal Fees on an urgent procedure, on real estate sales tax and inheritance and gift tax, on amendments to the Law on the Labor-Legal Status of Members of the KS Government on an urgent procedure, on amendments and additions to the Law on Takeover, amendments and additions to the Law on Lease of Business Buildings and Premises, and on amendments and additions to the Law on Concessions.

Deputies will also review draft laws on amendments and additions to the Law on Social Protection, Protection of War Victims, and Protection of Families with Children, as well as on salaries and allowances in the authorities of Sarajevo Canton.

They will also discuss proposals for decisions on granting consent to amendments and additions to the Financial Plan of the KS Health Insurance Fund, as well as to the Decision on Amendments and Additions to the Decision on Execution of the Financial Plan of this fund for 2018.

Proposals for decisions on the dismissal and appointment of the prosecutor of the KS Prosecutor's Office will also be reviewed. Then, proposals for decisions on amending the Decision on Legalization of Buildings Constructed Without a Building Permit and Temporary Buildings, on the merger of faculties, academies, and scientific research institutions of the public institution University of Sarajevo with legal entity status into the public institution University of Sarajevo, within which they will continue to operate as organizational units without legal entity status, on expanding the activities of public institutions Hadžići Secondary Vocational Center, Sarajevo Secondary School of Civil Engineering and Geodesy, and Metal Trades Secondary School to include adult education, on adopting the Program for Land Development and Implementation of Capital Investments for 2018, and on amendments and additions to the Decision on Taking Over the Rights and Obligations of the Founder and Harmonizing the Organization and Operations of the General Hospital "Prim dr Abdulah Nakaš".

Deputies will also review the Proposal for a Decision on Granting Consent for the Purchase Agreement of Business Premises for the needs of the JU Health Center KS Family Medicine Clinic – Rosulje Clinic, Vogošća Municipality, consisting of a two-story business premises no. 6 - area of 141.22 m2, business premises no. 7 - area of 42.59 m2, and a two-story business premises no. 8 - area of 146.89 m2, totaling 330.70 m2, with a total purchase price of 475,000 KM.

On the agenda of this session will also be proposals for decisions on the establishment of the Public Institution "Collegium artisticum", on harmonizing the status of KJP "Veterinarska stanica" (Veterinary Station), on establishing a branch in KJP "Veterinarska stanica" d.o.o. Sarajevo – "Podružnica 1" – Prača, and on establishing the Public Institution "Center for Advanced Technologies in Sarajevo".

Deputies will review proposals for decisions on confirming the dismissal and appointment of the president and members of the assembly of cantonal public utility companies: "Park", "Pokop" (Burial), "Sarajevogas" (Sarajevo Gas), "Toplane-Sarajevo" (Sarajevo Heating Plants), "Tržnice – pijace" (Markets – Fairs), and "Rad" (Work), as well as decisions on confirming the dismissal and appointment of the president and members of the assemblies of cantonal public companies: "Centar Skenderija", "Poljoprivredno dobro Butmir" (Butmir Agricultural Estate), "Sarajevo - šume" (Sarajevo Forests), "Veterinarska stanica" (Veterinary Station), and "ZOI 84" Olympic Center Sarajevo.

The Proposal for a Decision on Granting Consent for Signing a Real Estate Exchange Agreement between the KS Construction Institute and Safet Pozderović for the purpose of implementing the Decision on Amendments to the Decision on Adopting the Project "Siege and Defense of Sarajevo 92-95" – a sub-project for the commissioning and renovation of the "Kon-Tiki" restaurant into a memorial – Museum of Suffering of Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina will also be reviewed at this session.

The Proposal for a Decision on Granting Consent on the Status Change of the KS Fund for the Construction and Preservation of Martyr and Fallen Soldier Cemeteries, Memorial Centers, and Memorials to Victims of Genocide will also be reviewed.

The work programs with financial plans for this year for 13 healthcare institutions will be included in the agenda of this session, namely: KS Health Center, University Clinical Center Sarajevo, KS Institute of Sports Medicine, General Hospital "Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš", KS Institute for Addiction Diseases, KS Psychiatric Hospital, KS Institute for the Health Protection of Women and Motherhood, KS MUP Institute for the Health Protection of Employees, Sarajevo Pharmacies, University of Sarajevo Institute for Student Health Protection, KS Institute of Emergency Medical Assistance, KS Institute of Occupational Medicine, and KS Institute of Public Health.

The Report on the Work of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of KS for 2017 will be on the agenda.
