Joint commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the uprising

(Patria) - After the completion of the event commemorating the 79th anniversary of the Igman March on Veliko Polje in Igman, Sarajevo, delegations of anti-fascists from Serbia, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina met. They were also in constant contact with anti-fascists from other countries formed after the breakup of Yugoslavia who could not come this year due to stricter epidemiological measures in their countries.

It has long been a custom to hold such a meeting within this event to agree on future joint activities, as well as to analyze those already carried out. This year, the main topic of discussion was the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the uprising of the peoples of Yugoslavia. The desire is to give special significance to all activities marking this great jubilee and to send a message of unity of the anti-fascist movement.

It was agreed that delegations from all newly formed countries would participate in all ceremonies in all countries, because the uprising was joint, and the liberation struggle is an example of unity that should be emulated in these times as well. It was also agreed that July 4th, the former Day of the Fighter, would be marked by a joint event and that this entire year would pass in the anti-fascist movement of our countries in the sign of the 80th anniversary of the uprising, it was announced.
