Joint Cooperation Activities Between BiH Armed Forces and US Army

(Patria) - The Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH AF) and the United States Army (USA) continue to strengthen their partnership through Military-to-Military (M2M) activities, which are being implemented to improve interoperability, knowledge exchange, and strengthen the capacities of the BiH AF.

Within this cooperation, a series of joint military activities, training, and expert cooperation will be organized in the upcoming period from April 1 to April 8, 2025, in the areas of logistical support and public relations, which will enable members of the BiH AF to gain valuable experience and adopt best practices used by the US Army. These activities, conducted in the spirit of mutual cooperation and professionalism, aim to strengthen the capabilities of the BiH AF in the areas of tactics, logistics, public relations, and crisis response.

One of the key segments of joint cooperation is the training of the BiH AF, which further enhances their ability to participate in international peacekeeping missions and joint operations with partner armies. American military instructors and experts will provide technical support and expert advice in the areas of defense system modernization, improvement of command processes, and implementation of military techniques.

During previous years, the BiH AF and the US Army have participated together in numerous military exercises, which have significantly contributed to the operational readiness and efficiency of the BiH AF members. Such exercises have enabled soldiers to work side-by-side with American and other colleagues, simulating real-life crisis scenarios.

Cooperation within M2M activities also includes significant support in equipping the BiH AF with modern military assets. Through donation programs and joint investments, the BiH AF has improved its capacities, and this support contributes to building modern and efficient armed forces, capable of fulfilling missions of maintaining stability and security both domestically and in international operations.

The BiH Armed Forces and the US Army remain committed to continuing cooperation through new M2M activities, with a special emphasis on improving logistical needs, cyber security, and strengthening rapid response capabilities to crisis situations. This cooperation represents a strong foundation for further strengthening the partnership between BiH and the USA in the field of defense and security.
