Joint session of SDP and DF: The gathering of the left should not stop at two parties

The joint session of the main boards of the Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina (SDP) and the Democratic Front (DF) began today at 11 a.m. in Sarajevo at the Youth Center in Grbavica, where a document on joint action of these two parties will be signed.

The gathering has been called historic, because the fate of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is believed, depends on the left. The presidents of SDP BiH and DF, Nermin Nikšić and Željko Komšić, earlier stated that the gathering of left-wing parties should not end with just these two political parties, and that there is room for other similar policies. From the left-wing parties, they say that nationalist parties are leading Bosnia and Herzegovina into an abyss and citizens to the margins of poverty.

Željko Komšić stated ahead of the joint session that it is very important to establish cooperation that will mean joint action of the left even after next year's elections.

The session of the main boards of DF and SDP is open to the media, NAP reports.
