Request for Mektić's removal removed from agenda

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Representatives of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina today, at the proposal of Aleksandra Pandurević (SDS), removed from the agenda the request of SNSD deputies for the removal of Dragan Mektić, Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina. 19 representatives voted for Pandurević's proposal, 10 were against, and three deputies abstained.

Pandurević justified her request by the absence of an opinion from the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the initiative.

The request was submitted by Staša Košarac, Lazar Prodanović, Dušanka Majkić, Nikola Špirić, Milica Marković, Miroslav Milovanović, Borislav Bojić, Đorđo Krčmar and Jovan Vukovljak.

The removal was requested due to the migrant crisis.

- There is very serious information that individuals from BiH institutions, especially from the Ministry of Security, in cooperation with international humanitarian organizations, were involved in producing the migrant crisis in BiH with the aim of gaining material benefit through the use of EU funds and donor funds intended for assistance in accommodation, food and health care of migrants - stated in the explanation of the proposal of the SNSD and DNS clubs.
