Request for legalization of cannabis in Republika Srpska

The Regional Association and the Association of Multiple Sclerosis Patients of Republika Srpska have submitted a request for the legalization of cannabis production and processing into oil, which is medicinal and used for medical purposes, reports the Patria News Agency.

The President of the Association, Milan Stjepanović, says that some patients have personally convinced themselves that cannabis oil helps in the treatment of multiple sclerosis, cancer, Parkinson's disease, osteoporosis, hepatitis, depression, and some other diseases.

Also, the medicinal properties of cannabis oil have been confirmed by doctors in institutions where members of the Association are treated, and the production and processing of this oil is legalized in 16 European countries.

Multiple sclerosis cannot be cured with this oil, but it helps reduce pain and unblock muscle stiffness.

Multiple sclerosis patients expect members of associations for other diseases for whose treatment cannabis oil is used worldwide, which is extremely expensive and can only be obtained illegally, to join their request.
