Zahiragić asks the Troika: How much exactly does our honor and dignity cost?

However, how is it possible that they cannot play this specific match in their own state and city, but in ours, they can, Haris Zahiragić (SDA), a representative in the Sarajevo Canton Assembly, asked tonight in a post on his Facebook.

"Is this match scheduled only due to the ignorance of the Troika, their complete disregard and lack of empathy, or for the money that ZOI '84 might earn from this match?

How much exactly does our honor and dignity cost? Or, perhaps, this match has a completely different purpose," Zahiragić also asked.

Is it possible, he continued, that this is a continuation of the operation that began with the scheduling of the Rabbinical Conference earlier this year, which was only announced, and which, when we saw how it was canceled, probably was never even planned to be held?

"What is the role of the Troika in both events? Does Uko really need this much protection from the protests of a small number of brave citizens - mostly women - who are demanding the cancellation of the announced match?

And no, you from the Troika cannot claim that you have nothing to do with the organization. That is simply not true.

You boasted on social media about how the 'Euroleague' is coming to Sarajevo, you manage Zetra and lease it out to whomever and however you want, and ultimately, you make the security assessment for approving every public event, including this one.

Finally, the question arises, if you need an entire unit in full gear to 'protect' Uko from our fellow citizens - although, I am sure, they had no intention of physically threatening him - what security measures will 'have to' be taken just to play that match, because even the smallest incident is something we need the least," Zahiragić stated.

Whatever the outcome in the end, he added, the damage has already been done.

"By playing the match, we lose our honor and dignity, and by canceling it - when it is already scheduled - we contribute to the Islamophobic and anti-Islamic narrative into which those who do not love our state and our city invest a lot of money and all their hopes.

A narrative that, besides religious events, even sports events are not welcome in Sarajevo. Personally, in relation to everything, I always choose honor, but this other thing could have been avoided if there had been any wisdom and if Zetra had been occupied in all requested terms with, say, fairs of honey, jam, homemade juices, furniture, a concert, or some other sports event.

All in all, you are dilettantes and ignoramuses, and your exercise of power is becoming more dangerous for all of us day by day. And yes, given that this goes too far into the sphere of politics, the responsibility is not only on Nihad Uko, Kenan Magoda, or Admir Katica, but also on the leadership of their parties.

I wonder what Konaković, Ćudić, and Nikšić think about all this, or at least what the presidents of the Sarajevo branches of the Troika parties, Nermin Muzur, Adnan Šteta, and Vildana Bešlija, think about all this? Silence is approval," Zahiragić concluded.
