Air pollution in Sarajevo, Zenica, Tuzla, Lukavac

SARAJevo, (Patria) - Measurements at 10 AM showed that the air in Sarajevo is unhealthy, with an air quality index of 218. PM10 particles at Bjelave are 162, and at Otoka 118.  

"For people with respiratory illnesses such as asthma, significant exacerbation of symptoms and intensity of the disease is possible. Increased likelihood of negative consequences for the respiratory organs of the entire population. Those suffering from lung and heart diseases, pregnant women, children, and the elderly must avoid any activities while outdoors. And everyone else should avoid prolonged or strenuous exertion while outdoors," states the Eko akcija website.

The air is also unhealthy in Zenica and Lukavac, Jajce and Prijedor, and Tuzla.
