Polluted air: Recommendations for indoors too - don't turn on the hood, don't vacuum...

(Patria) - Recommendations have also been issued by the Government of Sarajevo Canton in accordance with US EPA, AQI standards, due to the dangerous air that the residents of the capital of BiH have been breathing in recent days.

Suspension of any intense physical activity outdoors. Vulnerable categories (children, pregnant women, the elderly, those with heart and lung diseases) should minimize physical activity outdoors.
Ventilation of indoor spaces - in homes where cigarettes are consumed, it is always advisable to ventilate the space, regardless of the pollution level outside.

Indoors, it is not recommended to:
- smoke cigarettes,
- prepare food by frying,
- light regular and scented candles,
- vacuum (unless the vacuum cleaner is equipped with a HEPA filter),
- use the kitchen hood.

Mandatory use of protective masks marked EN 149 (FFP2 or EN 149 FFP3).

For all persons who work outdoors (municipal service workers, police, postmen, construction workers, etc.) and who do not suffer from heart or lung diseases. In the car, switch the ventilation to internal circulation, occasionally ventilate the space by opening windows. Use public transport.
