Deadline for adopting the Law on Prevention of Money Laundering

At today's session of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, MPs will, among other things, consider the Information from the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH on the consequences of the natural disaster in our country, writes the Patria News Agency.

Also, at the request of the Council of Ministers of BiH, the Bill on Amending the Law on Public Procurement of BiH under an urgent procedure and the Bill on Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing under an urgent procedure will be considered.

Otherwise, this will be the "last train" when it comes to the Law on Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing, because at the beginning of April, BiH was given a deadline of June 1 to adopt this law, otherwise BiH would end up on the black list alongside North Korea and Iran.

We remind that Samir Omerhodžić, a member of the BiH delegation to Moneyval, told NAP that they would incorporate the remarks from Republika Srpska into the new law and that what they are doing is positive.

- As for whether we will succeed in the race against time, I still don't know - said Omerhodžić.
