Transport of explosives banned in FBiH during Eid al-Fitr

(Patria) - Traffic is mostly on dry roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but frequent landslides are still warned about on many sections. During the day, the number of cyclists, motorcyclists, and electric scooter users has increased, especially in urban areas. We ask all road users to be maximally careful and to respect traffic regulations, BIHAMK states.

Due to the religious holiday of Eid al-Fitr, the transport of explosives is banned in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina from midnight tonight until April 11 (Thursday) at 24:00.

Work is underway to repair a landslide on the M-17 Tarčin-Konjic main road (approximately 100 m long), due to which traffic is regulated by traffic lights. Also, on this section, pipeline laying work is in progress, causing slowed traffic at the work site.

On the Sarajevo-Foča main road, Dobro Polje-Miljevina section, vehicles are driving slowly, in one lane.

Due to damage to the bridge on the Rogatica-Ustiprača main road, traffic is suspended for vehicles over 12 tons, while other vehicles are driving alternately, in one lane.

On the Ključ-Sanski Most main roads (at the entrance to Sanski Most) and Stolac-Neum (at the entrance to Neum), traffic is suspended due to works and diverted to bypasses.

Works are also being carried out on the main roads: Jelah-Doboj (Kraševo), Travnik-Donji Vakuf (Komar), Jablanica-Potoci (Donja Jablanica), Čevljanovići-Nišići and Bijeljina-Rača, as well as on the roundabout at the entrance to Bosanska Gradiška, and on the M-5 main road in the Sarajevo transit (Bistrik-Vraca). Temporary traffic signs have been placed at the work sites, and their observance is mandatory.

There are no long waits for passenger vehicles at border crossings.

At the Karakaj border crossing (near Zvornik), traffic is prohibited for vehicles over 5 tons of maximum permissible mass. Trucks over 5 tons are redirected to the Bratunac or Rača border crossings, while buses can use the Šepak border crossing.
