Forgotten by All: 11 People Living in Inhumane Conditions in the Salakovac Collective Center

In the former SORA Neretva settlement, in the Mostar neighborhood of Salakovac, 11 people are still living in inhumane conditions in a collective center, reports the Patria news agency.

There are five families, three from Gacko and one each from Ljubinje and Trebinje. They have nowhere to return, and those who should be taking care of them, primarily the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Federal Ministry of Refugees and Displaced Persons, have long forgotten them.

They share a common bathroom located outside the building. They need everything, from food to clothing. Once a month, they receive a food package, and that is all the assistance they have.

The only ones who have not forgotten them are humanitarian organizations, which occasionally visit and deliver packages of food and clothing, and journalists who write about them.
