Only 311 KM was donated yesterday to the donation account of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, i.e. two payments were made, Patria reports.
The total balance of the account is 665,823 KM. The donation account of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was opened on May 17 to help flood-affected areas.
Although there is still no official assessment, a report by experts from the European Union, the World Bank and the UN is expected to be presented on June 18, which will also be the occasion for a donor conference next month organized by official institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It is certain that this trend of declining donations shows that the unprecedented natural disaster that hit a large part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as parts of Serbia and Croatia, has been quickly forgotten, NAP writes.
Rehabilitating the consequences of the floods will take years, and without financial assistance, it will certainly not be possible.
