Nearly 900 people vaccinated over the weekend in Sarajevo Canton

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - As part of the intensified campaign to vaccinate citizens against Covid-19, the Crisis Staff of the Ministry of Health of Sarajevo Canton organized the action "Vaccination towards citizens". 

This weekend, vaccination was carried out at the point in Sarajevo City Center, where 437 doses were administered today. With 430 vaccinated yesterday, a total of 867 people were vaccinated at this point over the weekend.  

Citizens had at their disposal the Pfizer, Sinopharm, Moderna and Sinovac vaccines for the first, second and third doses. 

We remind that vaccination in shopping centers began on November 6 last year, and considering that in previous weekends vaccination was carried out in numerous shopping centers in Sarajevo Canton, a total of about 11,000 people have been vaccinated in this way. 

It is important to emphasize that people of all age groups are vaccinated at these points, mostly young people.  

Vaccination in Sarajevo Canton also takes place on weekdays at health centers, where in addition to the first dose, revaccination and administration of the third dose of the vaccine are also carried out, in accordance with the recommendations of the Crisis Staff of the Ministry of Health of Sarajevo Canton.  

The third dose of all types of vaccines is available to all age groups, as well as to those who received the first two doses outside Sarajevo Canton, but they first need to report the data on the first two doses into the system of the Health Insurance Institute of Sarajevo Canton. 

The Crisis Staff of the Ministry of Health calls on citizens to respect the measures in force, and primarily reminds them of the mandatory wearing of masks and maintaining distance in enclosed spaces.
