Offroad Sarajevo 2014 to be held this weekend

Auto-moto club "AMK Sa-offroad" is organizing an "Off Road" gathering and competition for the BiH championship on October 25 and 26, 2014, reports the BiH news agency Patria. The competition will be held according to the following schedule:

October 25, 2014 (Saturday) from 09:00 to 16:00 on the slopes of Igman from the direction of Hrasnica (a track consisting of an old war road + specially prepared stages) as a test of the vehicles' and drivers' ability to operate in difficult terrain conditions. Two classes were created for this occasion, the so-called "Hard" and the so-called "Soft", which refers to the degree of modification of off-road vehicles compared to their original and factory condition.

On Sunday, October 26, 2014, from 10:00 to 15:00 at the Butmir location on the driver training ground between Sokolović Kolonija and Hrasnica, in the very bed of the Željeznica river, competitors will drive in the same two classes, but this time the competition will be prepared as a speed test or skill test on a specially prepared terrain.

The presence of over 50 teams from all over the Balkans is expected, which confirms the attractiveness of our tracks even for the best in this sport to try their luck here.

In order to popularize this sport, "AMK SA-Offroad" is organizing this type of competition, which represents a symbiosis of car and nature enthusiasts, for the first time in the Sarajevo Canton. The competition organizer invites citizens to join this true spectacle and notes that admission for visitors is completely free, and they hope that attendance will not be lacking despite the announced rain, because offroad would not be complete without difficult driving conditions, reports Patria.
