3,500 BAM Allocated for the Association of the Blind of Sarajevo Canton

The Association of the Blind in Sarajevo was founded in 1948 and has been continuously active ever since. The reason for establishing the Association was to gather blind persons in Sarajevo Canton, to empower them to accept blindness, to learn to live with blindness, to be socially active and as independent as possible in performing their daily activities as well as in education and finding employment, reports the Patria news agency.

The Centar Sarajevo Municipality is the only municipality that has supported this Association through various projects for the last 15 years.

This year as well, from the grant for non-profit organizations, the Municipality allocated 3,500 BAM to the Association of the Blind of Sarajevo Canton for the project “Increasing Social Inclusion of Blind Persons through Education and Procurement of Tactile Aids,” it was announced from the Centar Municipality.
