Amel Jašarević sentenced to 20 years in prison for the murder of Mehmed Ramić

(Patria) - The Cantonal Court in Sarajevo today delivered a verdict against Amel Jašarević for the murder of Mehmed Ramić on December 12, 2021, at the intersection in the Sarajevo settlement of Pofalići, as well as for illegal possession of weapons and drugs, for which he was sentenced to 20 years in prison.

In this case, Edvin Imamović and Igor Zuko were also convicted for aiding and abetting after the commission of a criminal offense. Edvin Imamović was sentenced to three years and Igor Zuko to two years in prison for assisting Adel Kabaš in his escape, who is still unavailable to the BiH judiciary.

Jašarević fired multiple shots from a Golf motor vehicle with a pistol towards a Peugeot vehicle driven by Mehmed Ramić, who died on the spot from his injuries.

After that, Adel Kabaš, who was in the Golf, also fired multiple shots towards the motor vehicle driven by Ramić.

Jašarević is also accused of having illegally acquired and possessed substances on the list of narcotic drugs in the past period, in the area of Sarajevo Canton, with the intention of gaining unlawful property benefit by trafficking narcotic drugs.

Edvin Imamović is accused of driving the car from which Kabaš, from the passenger seat, fired multiple shots towards Ramić's vehicle, after which he drove Kabaš towards Lukavica.

Zuko is accused of having exited the Golf, driven by Jašarević, at the mentioned time, and from the sidewalk of the street, he watched Jašarević and Kabaš fire multiple shots towards Ramić's vehicle, after which he helped Kabaš to become unavailable to law enforcement agencies.
