Exactly 21 hours ago, a Facebook group named 'Milan Bandić – Support for Our Mayor' was created, and in a short time it managed to gather as many as 12,495 members who, through their comments, offer unwavering support to the first man of the Croatian metropolis, who was arrested last night, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.
Most comments express support for Bandić for everything he has done for the city of Zagreb and its residents, while there are also those who believe he should have been arrested earlier. Currently, Bandić is at USKOK being questioned.
One of those who left a comment wrote, among other things, that everything was timed. We reproduce it in full.
"Josip Vukoja: My opinion: The arrest was timed. Milan Bandić, as a presidential candidate, would take a large portion of votes from the left and center. This redistribution of the electorate is not in the interest of Ivo Josipović and the SDP. Behind the arrest of the first man of the city stands the Office of the President and the UDBA structure around him. The HDZ and the Church support Bandić; it is unlikely he will serve time, even if he is guilty. Besides, Miki enjoys great support among the people. Your efforts are in vain, pipers..".
