Prohibition measures will be requested for Samir Mamić

While conducting an investigation into the war crime against prisoners of war, members of the VRS in the area of Bosanska Krupa, the BiH Prosecutor's Office has identified a fourth suspect, a member of the IDV "Gazije" of the 505th Brigade of the Army of RBiH 5th Corps.

The acting prosecutor interviewed the suspect Samir Mamić (1975) in the presence of his lawyer. Mamić is suspected of committing a war crime against prisoners of war and a war crime against the wounded and sick in the area of Bosanska Krupa municipality, in the wider area of Ćorkovača hill, in July 1995. Together with the previously apprehended suspects, members of the IDV "Gazije", he captured and personally killed three VRS soldiers, one of whom was wounded.

Suspect Mamić is under investigation for personally killing a wounded member of the VRS by shooting him.

After questioning the suspect, the acting prosecutor submitted a proposal to the BiH Court for the imposition of prohibition measures, which will include, among other things, a ban on leaving his place of residence, a ban on traveling outside of BiH, and a ban on meeting with witnesses and suspects in the case.
