For projects 200,000 KM: Meeting in Centar Municipality with NGO representatives

In the Centar Municipality of Sarajevo, employees of the Service for Education, Culture and Sport held a consultative meeting with representatives of non-governmental organizations regarding the public call for associations and foundations to finance and co-finance their projects with funds from the budget of the Centar Municipality for 2016.

The meeting was an opportunity for representatives of the non-governmental sector to become more familiar with the application process for projects for which they seek financial support from the Municipality, reports the Patria News Agency.

The Assistant Mayor for Education, Culture and Sport, Zakira Šero, emphasized that the goal of such meetings is to help non-governmental organizations by providing explanations and answers to questions related to their projects and the application process itself, from how to fill out the application form to project development.

- We addressed the most common problems encountered by applicants when applying for the public call. We hope that today's meeting will help overcome these problems and avoid mistakes that cause many non-governmental organizations to fail to meet the requirements when applying with their projects.

Given that the budget of the Centar Municipality for 2016 allocates approximately 200,000 marks for the non-governmental sector, we expect maximum seriousness from non-governmental organizations when applying for projects for which they seek financial support, said Šero.

The public call for financing and co-financing of projects of associations and foundations with funds from the budget of the Centar Municipality in 2016 was published on October 19, 2015, and remains open until November 13, 2015, it was announced from the Centar Municipality.
