For the needs of civil protection in BiH: Japan donates equipment worth one million euros

At the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Wednesday, October 14 at 11 a.m., the handover of the donation from the Government of Japan for protection and rescue will take place, which will be attended by the Japanese Ambassador Kazuya Ogawa and Minister Dragan Mektić, reports the Patria news agency.

The end users of the equipment are the civil protection administrations of the RS and FBiH and the Public Security Department of Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina, whose heads will also attend the ceremony and officially take over the equipment for permanent use.

The value of the donated equipment is around one million euros, and it includes three specialized vehicles for transporting teams and equipment for water rescue, three boats with motors, three compressors for filling oxygen diving cylinders, and eight sets of diving equipment.

Addresses by Ambassador Ogawa and Minister Mektić and the signing of documents on the handover of the donation will be held at the Operational-Communication Center of BiH-112, the Greece-BiH Friendship Building, and a joint photo and handover of vehicle keys will take place in the parking lot in front of the Greece-BiH Friendship Building, announced the Ministry of Security of BiH.
