5.5 million KM collected through sergija for flood victims

(Patria) - The Riyasat of the Islamic Community in BiH announced today that 5.5 million KM was collected through the sergija organized to help those affected by the floods in early October this year, which was carried out in congregations in BiH, home countries and the diaspora.

The Riyasat of the Islamic Community will implement the collected funds through projects that will be coordinated with the relevant authorities.

Part of the funds will be used for the rehabilitation of the Islamic Community's infrastructure, such as mosques, cemeteries, mektebs and other waqf properties that suffered significant damage.

"The Riyasat thanks everyone who responded to the call of the Reis-ul-ulema to help with their contributions in repairing the damage caused.

The result of this sergija is an indicator of the high level of mutual solidarity and trust in the Islamic Community, its members and adherents," the statement adds.
