11 million KM allocated so far to help flood victims

The 8th session of the Management Board of the Federal Fund for Assistance to Areas Affected by Natural Disasters in the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was held in Sarajevo today, chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of the FBiH and Minister of Spatial Planning Desnica Radivojević, in his capacity as a member of the Fund's Management Board, reports the Patria news agency.

The Management Board reviewed the Report by Director Jasmin Jaganjac on the implementation of 22 decisions of the Fund's Management Board for the period from December 4, 2014, to February 10, 2015. The report states that a total of 11,060,117.23 KM has been allocated and transferred to municipalities and cantons. The Fund's account currently holds 2,248,226.17 KM.

At today's session, the Report on the allocation of funds to cantons was also adopted.

The report explained that for these purposes, 572,000 KM was allocated to the Zenica-Doboj Canton, 600,000 KM to the Tuzla Canton, 200,000 KM to the Posavina Canton, and 50,000 KM to the Una-Sana Canton. The Zenica-Doboj Canton borrowed 600,000 KM, of which 572,000 KM was disbursed through a public call, while the funds to be accounted for amount to 28,000 KM. Under this decision, 2,000,000 KM was approved for allocation and distribution, and 1,450,000 KM was transferred based on the stated needs of the cantons and municipalities.

The unallocated funds of 550,000 KM will be retained in the Fund and implemented according to needs, based on decisions of the Fund's Management Board.
